Southwest Challenge – Las Vegas at the Westgate!

9 Ball October 23–26, 2025 | 8 Ball March 26-29, 2026

Get ready for one of the most exciting APA events of the year! The Southwest Challenge brings together players from APA League areas across the Southwestern U.S. for a weekend filled with competition, camaraderie, and nonstop fun in Las Vegas.

The Main Event

Teams of three will battle it out in a unique format featuring a rotating shooting order, ensuring every player gets equal time at the table. Before the tournament begins, teams must declare their shooting order — and keep it for the duration of play. There’s no posting and counter-posting here — it’s all about team trust, consistency, and strategy.

This format encourages teamwork, creates unexpected matchups, and often leads to some truly exciting, unpredictable outcomes!

?? Mini-Tournaments All Weekend!

In addition to the main events, all active APA members from participating areas can join mini-tournaments throughout the weekend!

  • Entry fees range from $10–$20 with 100% cash payback
  • Boards of 8, 16, or 32 players
  • Formats include 8-Ball and 9-Ball, singles and doubles
  • Events may be skill tiered or open to all skill levels

Even if you’re not playing in the main event, current APA members can participate for a small Southwest Region green fee — and enjoy open tables all weekend long!
