The APA Poolplayer Championship

Anytime 4 to 8 players want to get together and play anyone can run a singles board!! ANYONE CAN RUN A BOARD; PLEASE eMAIL THE OFFICE TO OBTAIN BOARD MATERIALS. If you would like to run a singles board in your area or would like to see qualifiers held at a specific location, contact us @ 310-740-4511.
At the local level, APA members compete on a board consisting of four to eight members with one player advancing to regional competition. The local entry fee starts at $25*, and there is no limit on qualifying attempts.
Qualifier Board winners advance to the Regional and National levels with no additional entry fee. Singles Boards will be distributed to the division representatives and any of our players who run boards**
Local Qualifier $200 / Board of 8 players   (4 players; $50ea. 5 players $40ea., etc.etc)
Regional Qualifier; no additional entry fee --->   National Championships in Las Vegas - No additional Entry fee.
 

Skill Level Tiers

This event offers five Skill Level Tiers: Blue Tier (skill levels 2-3), Yellow Tier (skill level 4), Red Tier (skill level 5), Orange Tier (skill level 6) and Purple Tier (skill level 7). The champion in each tier of this event receives $15,000 in cash and prizes.

 

Skill Level Tiers

This event offers four Skill Level Tiers: Green Tier (skill levels 1-3), White Tier (skill levels 4-5), Gray Tier (skill levels 6-7) and Black Tier (skill levels 8-9). The champion in each tier of this event receives $10,000 in cash and prizes. 
Rules of Participation:
•           Must be on an active roster in the format being played
•           Must have at least ten league match scores during the last two years in the format being played
•           A minimum of 4 players are required to run a Local Qualifier Board
•           Current APA game rules apply
•           No timeouts or coaching is allowed
•           Local Qualifier Boards are Single-Elimination format (unless noted Double Elim)
•           Each match is a race to skill level (same as league play matches)
•           The Winner of the Board advances to the Regional Qualifier
•           Valid picture I.D. is required to participate at the Local, Regional and National levels of the National Singles Program
Season 1:  January 1 – June 15: Winners advance to the Fall Regional in October
Season 2:  June 16 – November 30: Winners advance to the Spring Regional in March
Winners of the Fall & Spring Regional tournaments advance to the National Championship at the Westgate Hotel in Las Vegas in April. It's a competitive event where individuals, not teams, are rated by skill level and compete against players of similar skill
